(Sunglasses - Ray-Ban, Warren Jumpsuit - Etoile Isabel Marant
Clutch - Givenchy, Sandals - Saint Laurent)

Can always rely on Isabel Marant for at least one good jumpsuit per season. This warren style from her etoile line is the ultimate. Style with flats by day and heels by night — a very practical addition that'll receive a ton of wear time. xo

(Linden Sweater & Utility Jog Pants - KIIND OF)

Partnered with new RTW brand, KIIND OF, to style a couple of looks from their fall collection. Bringing us chic, minimalistic pieces that are playful and smart! All about the utility jog for fall (and comfort) styled with their linden knit for those schlepping kind of days. Make sure to head over to KIIND OF's facebook and twitter for my second look and a chance to win an entire wardrobe!

I'll be taking over the KIIND OF instagram on October 7th. See you over there soon! xo

Black + White

Thursday, September 25, 2014

(Sunglasses - Chanel, Top - Zimmerman, Blazer - Thakoon
Trousers - Gucci, Bag - Celine, Sandals - Saint Laurent)

Probably not going to be a shocker when I share with you that color makes me uncomfortable. Extremely. The current color situation in my closet consists of about eight pieces that aren't a variation of black or white. Like to keep my styling monochromatic and inconspicuous, yet still packing an overall punch. However, I must admit, that I find myself gawking with admiration at women who have the confidence to mix multiple colors and prints. Inspired to start dabbing a little here and there. Do pinstripes count as a print? If so, I've got one foot in. xo

(Sunglasses - Ray-Ban, Top - Well Kept, Skirt - Helmut Lang
Clutch - Givenchy, Heels - Tom Ford)

Wrap skirt from Helmut that I'd been coveting for months and finally made mine over the weekend. Strange for an almost early fall purchase but I suppose I get a pass since I live in San Diego. Topped it off with a crop for an appropriate farewell to summer. xo

(Sunglasses - Ray-Ban, Tank - T By Alexander Wang, Clutch - Givenchy
Pants - Haider Ackermann, Sandals - Saint Laurent)

Leave it to drapery master, Haider Ackermann, to perfect the ultimate track pants in a cut like no other. Slouching and gathering in all the right places. Topped off with a knotted tank and black reliables. xo

(Sunglasses - Gucci, Dress - Balmain, Clutch - Givenchy, Sandals - Balmain)

Have never been a fan of chevron, so I'm now convinced that Balmain can convert me into anything. Their iconic embossed buttons pretty much make everything acceptable. Can't think of the last time that I wore a dress this short, or hell, even a dress for that matter. Feels good to change things up. xo

Gold + Black

(Fine Jewelry by John Hardy)

Back at it with LoveGold reppin' the ultimate duo, gold + black. For part three of my series with LoveGold, we're talking incorporating fine jewelry into fall fashion. Couldn't think of a better way to celebrate than with these stunning 18K gold pieces from John Hardy, a boucle blazer, and multiple layers of black. Most meaningful piece that I'm layered in would be this coil ring from the Naga Collection. A collection that brings life to the Balinese legend of the dragon, a revered mythological creature symbolizing prosperity and good luck - something we can all use a little more of. xo

(Sunglasses - Chanel, Bevan Leather Jacket - Paige, Tee - Rag & Bone
Bag - Chanel, Hoxton Denim - Paige, Boots - Saint Laurent)

My friends over at Paige truly make the best curve hugging denim on the market. Same fit I wore a few posts back but the waist is a bit higher here. They've always been one of my go-to's mainly because I don't find myself peeling them off the minute I enter my front door. Totally a master at the second skin fit. Topped off with a basic tee and their Bevan leather jacket for a very obtainable rocker chic look. xo

(Sunglasses - Balmain, Bralette, Tank, & Faux Fur Cross Body Bag - Native Fox x eLUXE
CDC Bracelet - Hermes, Denim - Balmain, Boots - Saint Laurent)

Layered up on the top half in pieces from my design collaboration with eLUXE. Kept things monochromatic and styled the bottom half appropriately. Still pretty hardcore on the combination of black + gold. So much that I'll refrain from buying a piece that's adorned with an opposing metal. I have issues. xo

(Sunglasses - Linda Farrow, Bag - Chanel, Top - Donna Karan,
Tweed Shorts - Chanel, Boots - Sergio Rossi)

Waiting list dream shorts that someone graciously returned to Neiman's before my NYFW shopping frenzy. The kicker? Last call deal at sixty-five percent off! Edged them up with a perfectly slashed turtleneck from Donna Karan and all black accessories. xo

(Sunglasses - Ray-Ban, Top - Bec & Bridge, Shorts - Vintage,
Backpack - Simone Camille, Sandals - Teva Originals)

Taking it easy back in California last week in original sandals from Teva. The newest yin to my yang, and if my feet had a voice I'm pretty sure they'd thank me. A nice change up to the obscene signals they're generally sending to my brain when I'm in four inch plus heels. The perfect flats for breaking in between shows. Thanks to Teva for keeping me comfortable this NYFW! xo

(Obsessed Tee & Pencil Skirt - 7FAM)

Partnered with 7 For All Mankind this NYFW for their #7Obsessions campaign. This season, we're obsessing over the high waist pencil skirt. Time to put away those mini's and go with something a little longer for fall/winter. 7FAM does it right in this updated high waist elegant version, that pretty much works on almost any body type. In the spirit of #7Obsessions, 7FAM has made this cool limited edition Obsessed tee. If you shop in-store or online and purchase a 7FAM skirt + Obsession tee, you'll receive $50 off your purchase from September 4th-10th.

Made In America Festival

Tuesday, September 2, 2014

(Sunglasses - Ray-Ban, Tank - American Eagle, Bag - Chanel
Hi-Rise Denim - American Eagle, Boots - Chanel)

Attended the Made In America festival last weekend with American Eagle. When interviewed by a media outlet, I was asked to describe my festival look, and I answered, "Lara Croft Tomb Raider chic". Speaking without a filter can be good and bad — hoping not the latter in this instance. A few of my favorite performances were Iggy Azalea and Sublime With Rome. Thanks to American Eagle for having me and fitting me in the best second skin mom jeans any festival girl could ask for. xo
