TGIF! What a long week! Any plans for this weekend? At the beginning of spring, I logged in my journal that I would start taking at least one road trip a month through the end of summer. Destination always unknown. Out of the last two road trips we've taken, we always stop in Santa Monica and never leave, lol, which is only about 135 miles north of me. Tomorrow morning, the goal would be to just pass through Santa Monica without stopping, no promises, but we're going to make a concerted effort in exploring new territory. Such creatures of habit.
Layered up in all jewelry from Brooklyn designer, Alimonada. Their knuckle rings are minimal perfection, and for the price, all your fingers can party! Also wearing their spike and circle necklaces which I'm totally digging. Digging as much as this floppy fedora that has been conveniently glued to my head since Monday. Today it was kind of a no-brainer once I slipped into this crochet dress.
Want to extend code, nativefox15, and that's for 15% off your first purchase with Alimonada.
Matched the gloomy weather that we've been experiencing with this head to toe all black look. If you can't beat 'em, join 'em! Decided it was time to debut what I feel is the most perfect cross body bag ever designed, the Saint Laurent Cassandre bag. This bag is named after Ukrainian-French painter, Cassandre, pseudonym of Adolphe Jean-Marie Mouron, who is also the creative designer behind the iconic YSL Logo. The classic design of this bag, topped off with his brilliantly designed logo, had me awestruck from the minute I laid eyes on it. Definitely a piece that I'll never part ways with.
Broke in these new Carol sandals yesterday while exploring Comic-Con for a majority of my Saturday. Initially, I found these sandals rather unaesthetically pleasing, and I didn't even give them a chance until I found them on sale at Neiman's a few weeks ago in San Francisco. The price was insanely good, so they made it to the "try on" pile with the other seven pairs from the last call rack. Once they were on my feet, I was shocked at how much I actually loved them. I light heartedly teased a buddy for owning these, so needless to say, I felt like a total hypocrite for checking out with not just one, but two pairs of these sandals.
Wore this perfectly cut out dress from Style Stalker to dinner and a few parties last night to kick start the Comic-Con festivities. So much going on in San Diego this weekend! Opening day for the Del Mar races was also yesterday and that goes through the first week of September. Definitely an awesome time to visit with an incredible amount of stuff going on.
These are the stunning Celine sandals that I scored the other week in San Francisco for seventy-five percent off. I've never been so lucky at any sale in my entire life! Being a bigfoot definitely had its perks this sale season. I also caved and picked up two pairs of Isabel Marant Elvis sandals because they were too good to pass up. Initially, I wasn't into them at all. The price was so insanely low that I decided to try them on and fell in love. Major score this sale season.
Lounged around yesterday in this cozy look wearing a blouse from Bella Dahl and loose knit pants from Our Prince Of Peace. Topped off with an oversized fedora from Lack Of Color. Found the perfect spot around the corner from our building to snap these photos. They pretty much sum of my Sunday. Relaxing and carefree.
I celebrated Adrian's birthday last Friday in this all black look, wearing my newest maxi from For Love & Lemons. We started off at our favorite spot for Indian food, and had really good intentions on going out afterwards, but per the usual, we were old folks in bed crashing before midnight, lol. Comi-Con starts this Wednesday, so we decided to save all our energy for all the fun that takes our downtown neighborhood by storm. Have you guys ever attended the event? Highly recommend!
I scored this pair of pumps while sale shopping in San Francisco last weekend for seventy-five percent off. I was determined to own something studded from Isabel Marant's last collection. I also picked up my first pair of Celine sandals at the same discount. Luckily, I walked into Neiman Marcus on the first morning of their pre-sale, so the selection was amazing. On that particular day, they allowed you to walk out with the pre-sale items. Major score. There are a few pairs that I'm now kicking myself in the butt for not buying — a pair of red and a pair of nude Celine pumps. Hindsight. Gets me every time.
Wearing this killer wrap top from Maurie & Eve that I've styled a few times within the past year. Topped off with basic staples that I can't get enough of. Found the perfect mini Saint Laurent cross body bag over the weekend that might give this Chanel mini a run for its money. Not sure if I really need it, but I sure do want it. If I'm still lusting over it by end of July, it's on!
Celebrated Independence Day in this striped willow romper from Reformation. This is the second color that I picked up while shopping on Melrose awhile back. I might possibly own way too many rompers than one girl should. On a different note, heading out to San Fran for some much needed culture and R&R today after work. Any fun plans for this weekend?
After scrolling through my last fifteen posts or so, there's one thing that's really apparent. I really don't wear that much color. In fact, I don't even own that much color. Give or take a few red pieces. I'm going to make it a goal to pick up at least one piece a month. A little color never hurts.
